The are shorter that how they appear in the pix, but hopw will do the job.I like these snow boots for my 2 little grandsons. The fit is good and the inside lining is comfortable enough to keep their feet warm and dry. These boots are not heavy. The only reason I rated 4 is because I ordered different colors for each one, in different sizes and the packing company got it wrong. So, if you order a color don't be surprised if it's a different color. Maybe it's what is available in the warehouse at the time.I was looking for a winter boot that would stand up to northern Maine winters, that I could afford to purchase and not feel shafted when my son outgrew them in 2 months. These were a great purchase. He loves them. They are true to size. The ankle down are coated/rubberized to help keep feet dry. The top has a pull-elastic closure to help keep snow out of the boots. They work as needed, and as a bonus, he's the only one in class with the color/style so he won't get them confused with the other 20 pair of boys winter boots waiting in the hallway in school.These boots are so cute, I bought them for my granddaughter she loves them, I have to bribe her to get them off her. They are a little big on her but we ordered them a little bigger so she can wear them next year to.Had to return the first purchase received because the adjusting strap was defective. However, replacement received and my son loves it. Good quality and fit. Perfect for the long, harsh winters. Fit is 1/2 size bigger, thus giving the little one some room for thik socks.They are perfect, but they run a bit narrow so if ur kiddo has a wider foot u might wanna order a size up . Otherwise they are nice boots at an affordable price.I love the traction that the boots have, but the drawstring that can be tightened is a bit too thin for small kids I feel. Seems like if they attempt to tighten it themselves they could cut off their circulation. They also fit larger than expected, which is ok for cold weather activities where you may use two pairs of socks. Also they are noisy, my son sounds like a pony when walking in these, which is most likely because of the bigger fit but he loves that lol!Great sized perfectly as described by others.Worked fantastically on a ski trip in heavy snow.However! We have used these boots for 2 weeks and they’ve started to fray. Most of the use has been for walking with only 4 days of ski areas use (ie in snow)The Velcro rips the fabric away or just wears the seam - holes are appearing already so the boots are pretty much finished and uselessAs a result our kid started getting wet socks - not good!I would have given these a 5 star rating however I feel 2 stars is appropriate given the build quality falls apart in 14 days of use which is pretty awful.
