The sole tends to wear down quicker than the rest of the shoe but at that age shoes that last longer than a few weeks are awesomeReally cute shoes, seem to be sturdy and of good quality. Just got them tonight so the proof will be in the wearing. Based on the reviews from others I think they will work just fine. I love that they make half sizes... my daughter is right at the edge of a 10 but an 11 is really too big. The 10.5 fit great and there's still room to grow. I also like the smell - its clearly intentional and subtle which is nice. I will wait to see how they stand the test of a day at preschool, but I am likely going to buy more in different colors. Its hard to find a cute pair of shoes that are good for both dress and play. I think these are going to fit the bill nicely.The shoes are well made and easy for a 4 year old to put on.
